In 1936 Stockport Boy Scouts Association had 47 Scout Groups registered and their area stretched from the Heatons to Hayfield. In 1950 Cheadle and District Boy Scouts Association was formed and had eighteen Groups which included 2 from Bramhall, 2 from Hazel Grove and one from Poynton.

Bramhall, Hazel Grove and Poynton left us in 1961 and our District was left with 16 Groups of which four were based at school premises.

Many of our Groups could accommodate more young people in their sections but we have to have sufficient numbers of leaders to do this. If you would like to help as a Leader, Assistant Leader, Sectional Assistant or an occasional helper. Please visit Volunteer to find out more.

We have a District HQ at Base Camp on Oak Ave.

This well equipped modern building with good parking is available for contract lettings. You can view all information about Base Camp on the Facilities page.
