Welcome to Cheadle and District Scouts Web Site.
In 1936 Stockport Boy Scouts Association had 47 Scout Groups registered and their area stretched from the Heatons to Hayfield. In 1950 Cheadle and District Boy Scouts Association was formed and had eighteen Groups which included 2 from Bramhall, 2 from Hazel Grove and one from Poynton.
Bramhall, Hazel Grove and Poynton left us in 1961 and our District was left with 16 Groups of which four were based at school premises.
We currently have nine groups and their details are to be found on this web site. The majority of the groups have Beaver, Cub and Scout Sections, there are four Explorer Scout Units who meet at the premises of their associated Group.
Many of our Groups could accommodate more young people in their sections but we have to have sufficient numbers of leaders to do this. If you would like to help as a Leader, Assistant Leader, Sectional Assistant or an occasional helper please contact the number below. Training is appropriate to the appointment.
We have a District HQ at Base Camp on Oak Ave. Cheadle Hulme which is also home to 3rd Cheadle Hulme Scout Group, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers.
This well equipped modern building with good parking is available for contract lettings. You can view all information about Base Camp on the Facilities page.
